Miller Motorcars JC9 Debuts As A Stunning Porsche Carrera GT Based One Off Hypercar

Luxury dealerships usually sell exotic cars. They do not build them. But Miller Motorcars, a well known dealership based in Connecticut, decided to do exactly that.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the company unveiled the all new Miller Motorcars JC9, a coachbuilt hypercar created in collaboration with renowned automotive designer Jason Castriota. While the car wears a completely unique body, it hides one of the most respected supercar platforms ever built underneath: the Porsche Carrera GT.

Miller Motorcars JC9 Combines Classic Inspiration With Modern Design
At first glance, the JC9 does not resemble a Porsche Carrera GT at all. Instead, its styling takes inspiration from classic endurance race cars, particularly the legendary Porsche 917K that dominated motorsport more than five decades ago.
The low slung body, flowing curves, and dramatic proportions give the JC9 a timeless appearance. It looks like a modern interpretation of a classic racing machine rather than a modified Carrera GT.
According to Miller Motorcars, the JC9 is a fully carbon fiber coachbuilt V10 manual supercar, making it one of the most exclusive automotive projects unveiled this year.
Porsche Carrera GT Powertrain Remains Underneath
The biggest surprise is hidden beneath the custom bodywork.
The JC9 retains the naturally aspirated 5.7 liter V10 engine from the Porsche Carrera GT, paired with the original six speed manual transmission. That combination remains one of the most celebrated setups in automotive history.
The original Carrera GT produced:
| Specification | Porsche Carrera GT |
|---|---|
| Engine | 5.7-liter Naturally Aspirated V10 |
| Power Output | 603 Horsepower |
| Transmission | 6-Speed Manual |
| Construction | Carbon-Fiber Monocoque |
Miller Motorcars has not revealed whether the engine received any performance upgrades. As a result, the official output remains unknown beyond the donor car’s original specifications.
The Interior Reveals Its Carrera GT Origins
While the exterior has been completely transformed, the cabin immediately reveals the car’s roots.
The dashboard layout, instrument cluster, center console, and air vents all appear identical to those found in the Porsche Carrera GT. Even the steering wheel maintains the same design, although the Porsche badge has been removed and replaced with a new covering.
For enthusiasts, that is not necessarily a bad thing. The Carrera GT’s interior remains one of the most driver focused cabins ever fitted to a supercar.
Designed By Jason Castriota
The JC9 is another notable project from Jason Castriota, whose portfolio includes several famous automotive designs.
Some of his best known creations include:
- Ferrari P4/5
- Ferrari 612 Kappa
- Maserati Birdcage 75th
- SSC Tuatara
- Ford Mustang Mach E
- Bertone Mantide
The JC9 was displayed alongside several of these projects during Miller Motorcars’ anniversary celebration.
A True One Off Hypercar
What makes the JC9 special is its uniqueness. This is not a limited production model or a future series production vehicle. It is a genuine one off creation that blends the engineering excellence of the Porsche Carrera GT with a completely bespoke exterior design.
The result is a hypercar that feels both familiar and entirely new at the same time.
Many custom projects struggle to match the design quality of the vehicles they are based on. The JC9 avoids that problem. Its proportions, detailing, and overall execution make it look like something that could have come directly from Porsche’s own design studio.
