Ferrari HC25 Revealed as a One Off 710 HP Supercar Based on the F8 Spider
Table of Contents
Ferrari has revealed another ultra exclusive model from its Special Projects division, and this one keeps the old school V8 spirit alive. Called the HC25, the new one off supercar is based on the Ferrari F8 Spider and comes with a unique exterior design, a twin turbo V8 engine, and no hybrid assistance at all.
That alone makes it special in today’s Ferrari lineup.
Ferrari HC25 Design Looks Futuristic but Clean
The Ferrari HC25 does not try too hard to look aggressive. Instead, Ferrari has gone with a cleaner and more streamlined shape. The front gets slim headlights with vertical daytime running lights that flow down into the bumper area. There is also a black trim piece between the headlights that gives a slight connection to the newer Ferrari F80 design language.

The biggest design highlight sits on the side profile.
A black band starts from the rear edge of the doors, flows over the rear fenders, and continues into the engine cover. This creates two visually separate sections of the car. Ferrari says the black section also hides important cooling ducts and air intakes for the engine bay.
Only one aluminium bar interrupts this black section. Ferrari milled this piece from solid aluminium, and it also houses the door handles. It is a small detail, but exactly the kind of thing Ferrari’s Special Projects customers usually pay millions for.
The angled black band also gives the HC25 a sense of motion even while standing still. That is designer talk for “the car looks fast even in parking.”
Based on the Ferrari F8 Spider
Underneath all the custom bodywork, the HC25 is still based on the Ferrari F8 Spider. Production of the F8 Spider ended in 2023, but it remains important in Ferrari history because it was the last mid engine open top Ferrari with a pure nonhybrid V8 setup.
That makes the HC25 more appealing for enthusiasts who still prefer the sound and character of a traditional combustion Ferrari.
Ferrari HC25 Engine and Performance
Ferrari has not changed the powertrain, and honestly, that was probably the right decision.
The HC25 uses the same 3.9 litre twin turbocharged V8 engine from the F8 Spider. It produces 710 horsepower and 568 pound feet of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels through a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
Performance figures are still properly supercar fast:
| Performance Figure | Ferrari HC25 |
|---|---|
| Engine | 3.9 litre twin turbo V8 |
| Power | 710 hp |
| Torque | 568 lb ft |
| Transmission | 7 speed dual clutch automatic |
| 0 to 62 mph | 2.9 seconds |
| 0 to 124 mph | 8.2 seconds |
| Top Speed | 211 mph |
Ferrari claims the HC25 can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds and hit 124 mph in 8.2 seconds. Top speed stands at 211 mph.
For something based on a car that already retired from production, those numbers still look seriously strong in 2026.
Interior Gets Yellow and Grey Theme
Inside, Ferrari has kept the standard F8 Spider cabin layout mostly unchanged. The customisation mainly comes through materials and colour choices.
The cabin uses a yellow and grey theme with yellow stitching across the dashboard and seat bolsters. The seats combine leather and fabric materials and feature boomerang shaped yellow accents.
Yellow brake calipers outside also match the interior details and Ferrari badges. It is coordinated without looking overdone, which is rare these days because many special edition supercars seem to confuse colour combinations with personality.
Ferrari HC25 Price Remains Unknown
Ferrari has not revealed the price of the HC25, and that is normal for one off Special Projects cars. These models are usually built for extremely wealthy collectors and loyal Ferrari customers.
Considering the amount of custom design work involved, the HC25 likely costs several million dollars.
Still, for buyers who already own multiple Ferraris, owning a completely unique factory built model is probably the real attraction here.
Why the Ferrari HC25 Matters
The HC25 is not just another limited Ferrari. It also represents the end of an era. With stricter emissions rules and Ferrari moving deeper into hybrid technology, naturally emotional nonhybrid V8 supercars are becoming rare.
That gives the HC25 a different kind of value beyond speed or exclusivity.
It keeps the classic Ferrari V8 experience alive, just wrapped inside a futuristic one off body.
