Disconnect fuel injector wires (4) at the coupler so that fuel injectors don’t flood the cylinders with fuel during the compression check.
Install the compression gauge (A) into the spark plug hole using the gauge hose (B) and attachment (C). Check the whole setup fitment for eliminating any type of leakage.
In a manual transmission vehicle, disengage the clutch to lighten the starting load on the engine, and in the automatic vehicle, depress the accelerator pedal all the way to make the throttle fully open.
Make sure the battery is fully charged and then start the compression check by cranking the engine and noting the highest pressure on the compression gauge.
Carry out Steps (7) to (9) on each cylinder and note the readings for each cylinder.
Once the compression check is done, install spark plugs and ignition coil assemblies (2) with high-tension cord (3). Connect ignition coil couplers (1) and fuel injector wires (4) at the coupler.
